Well the way I look at it, the prosecution were possibly only a little bit smarter than the guy who was given a reprieve. (And having had that thought, I probably serve to undermine the legal system somewhat as well, albeit in a different way.) There is so much room for slippage in bureaucracies, th...

Nah of course they shouldn't've done it for free. They're attorneys after all, and probably clever to boot. I just hope they didn't charge him too much, just in case he can't add (or subtract or...)

You mean 'pretty scary'

(Edit - I just had another scary thought - often unbidden thoughts of old girlyfriends randomly pop into my head, does that mean they are thinking of me?, or is it just an old habit?)

Re: Apollo Hoax info

The Great Moon Hoax - A short NASA publication debunking the moon hoax. NASA Facts - Did U.S. Astronauts Really Land On The Moon? - Another NASA publication about the moon hoax. I can't understand why NASA gave this the time of day (let alone website space). It merely dignifies attention-seeking ex...

Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. (Hammurabi I believe - an old sentiment to be sure) - but how should it be considered today? Violence is violence. Even if she was sane (which I doubt), it may've been more compassionate to give her a prison cell for l...

Is anything pure? Yes. Ivory Soap is 99 44/100% pure. Nothing else. According to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivory_%28soap%29 new varieties of Ivory Soap have palm oil ingredients, just like Dove - reminds me of a comic strip that appeared in the Dominion Post (local rag) a little whil...

I guess Marx was fond of conspiracy and hated cartels How do you feel about that? Ambivalent. Monopolies might be alright if they were efficiently run and everyone was open, honest and caring. But how realistic is that? Human nature only seems to display altruism on relatively infrequent occasions....

Maybe all workers should have equal access to machinery and other types of facilities used in production as employers. Then employers could do more of their own work if they want to make something. I like artisan based businesses - the people are friendlier. The question remains, who's going to pay...

My pardon - forgive me - I thought you were attacking me. I can't be a communist because I don't have the strength of conviction to be one. I'm too complacent. I'm not attacking anyone, I was just interested in what you thought about the quote I posted. Still am. I guess Marx was fond of conspiracy...

I never said that at all. (Are you trying to put words in my mouth that were never there?) No, I just asked if you approved of the sentiment. I thought it was pretty obvious it was a question. But, since the question "Am I a commie?" appeared later in your post, do you feel that people wh...

Its all relative. I remember getting right into Marx when I started my first degree, and that ruined it for me when I went on to pick up 101 micro and macro economics the following year.
