Löw's team showed everyone how the game should be played§. HAH! HAH!! I liked Ekstrabladet's (from Denmark) comment best: What has the world come to when it's actually fun to watch the Germans play football?" :D And Der Kaiser criticising England's style? Even better. Last night's weather was ...

And now we do. :D I thought Germany looked very good, though it is hard to tell given the opposition and the Cahill sending off. I thought it was justified but the english media were outraged that an Everton player could be red carded. To go back to an earlier discussion, that looks like a young, mu...

Yep, and that was their reliable goalie. :D

Peugeot were fast because they are fragile, the fourth one has just blown its engine. AUDI heading for a 1,2,3, our boy in the third one.

Le Mans 24 Hours this weekend, in practice the Peugeots seem to have the speed to beat all comers and should be reliable as it is a development of last year's car. The Audis are talking tough but were well beaten for pace yesterday. Both are running diesels again this year despite rule changes to gi...

Black aircraft . . .

Ok not helocpters, but still. If I commute by train it goes past the perimeter of Edinburgh Airport near the commercial hangars. There are usually a couple of cargo planes and the odd passenger plane parked up. This morning there were two BAE Hawks parked up, one black and unmarked the other in full...

But it does have a silver lining . . .

A guy in Cumbria went postal yesterday. It seems the cause was a dispute with his family and lawyer over a Will, with the first person he shot being the lawyer. Now, as I am I private client lawyer my colleagues are suggesting I work from home more, or meet clients in the coffee shop accross the roa...

Ah Nena, the acceptable face of punk. I remember ARTE from my old analogue satellite system, more than a few wtf? moments from its programming. You could generally tell which country programmes originated from based on the level of casual nudity. I had the system mainly to watch sport on DSF which w...

Well we have a coalition for the first time since the 1940s, not necessarilly a bad thing but we'll see how long it lasts before it goes south. Once again Scotland is dramatically under represented in the government, but the English argue we were over represented in the last.

Don't know so much about Alabama. Been to Bayminette, or is it Bay Minette? I see it is the latter. Spent a few days there on business, as a matter of fact. Oh, and I am familiar with "Why don't you go back to your double-wide, and fry something?" The Deep South is odd if you live in a ve...
