But it does have a silver lining . . .

A guy in Cumbria went postal yesterday. It seems the cause was a dispute with his family and lawyer over a Will, with the first person he shot being the lawyer. Now, as I am I private client lawyer my colleagues are suggesting I work from home more, or meet clients in the coffee shop accross the roa...

Ah Nena, the acceptable face of punk. I remember ARTE from my old analogue satellite system, more than a few wtf? moments from its programming. You could generally tell which country programmes originated from based on the level of casual nudity. I had the system mainly to watch sport on DSF which w...

Well we have a coalition for the first time since the 1940s, not necessarilly a bad thing but we'll see how long it lasts before it goes south. Once again Scotland is dramatically under represented in the government, but the English argue we were over represented in the last.

Don't know so much about Alabama. Been to Bayminette, or is it Bay Minette? I see it is the latter. Spent a few days there on business, as a matter of fact. Oh, and I am familiar with "Why don't you go back to your double-wide, and fry something?" The Deep South is odd if you live in a ve...

I have sort of been to Arkansas, I was driving in Memphis got lost and ended up going over the bridge into Arkansas. We drove for about a mile until we could get turned and back over the bridge. I was there for about five minutes but didn't get out the car. I have been to DC and 23 states (excluding...

I suppose a ninja candidate would have to put their real name rather than their ninja serial number, which might be the problem.

I'd heard of the Kent State shootings but didn't know it was in Ohio.

Glasgow East is more like it, everything from the BNP to old fashioned Trots.

I stand corrected HD, it is more of an english thing. Ahaar, all pirates set sail for Bethnal Green.

And zombies head to Brighton.

Raving loonies are a bye election thing rather than General elections. But there still should be some. I don't think a hung parliament is a bad thing, Scotland has had one for a couple of years, The main UK parties are trying to scare voters. Kicking a puppy would be good; or raping a crippled nun o...

I only saw the second half and the commentators completely failed to mention Inter only had 10 men. They did bang on about typical Italiand football, despite there not being an Italian in the team and the coach being Portugese.

A triumph of catennaccio, which is impressive in its own way.
