Crop Circles

Crop Circles

Postby Candy » Fri Sep 16, 2005 2:13 pm

Okay, on the Discovery Channel, the program is Crop Circles: Mysteries in the Fields. The description gives For 300 years unusual shapes appear in growing farm crops around the globe.

MIT students are analyzing the Crop Circles and decide to duplicate...

In analyzing the Crop Circles, there were three common factors, but I, apparently, only caught one of the ingredients.

1. Radiation Exposure

And little mention of the past 300 years, except in England, where 2 guys admitted to doing them for the last 15 years. Prior to that, it was believed to be a Celtic ritual or something. (I missed that part).

When and where and how long? Oh, the mystery.

Formed in the night (weather is not a factor)
Strange balls of light appear (not always present)
Over 90% of Crop Circles appear in the Milk Hill region (blamed on the aquifers (word))
Process takes to 4 hours or mere seconds

Good question...

I think crop circles are most commonly associated with proof of extra terrestrial intelligence, aren't they? I'll move it to UFOs and change the description to include crop circles.

If anyone disagrees, say so and I'll fix it.

Crop Circles are now associated with ET.

According to this program, it is something magnetic within the ground. Milk Hill is where 90% of Crop Circles appear where there are ample aquifers (whatever the word is) present.

It really is a boring show. All they now discuss is the MIT imitating a true Crop Circle. They were successful in their imitation, but not 100% successful, according to the Real Experts.

I would've loved to hear exclusively the 300 year old history! Oh well, I settle for what I can get. :P

my theory about the original crop circles 100s of years ago was that perhaps it was a fox chasing something or a couple of badgers.

Really? No Celtic connection? I like the Celtic relationship for some reason.

Any theory is better than an intelligent civilization struggle through eons to develop the technology to travel interstellar distances and uses this great power to doddle in some poor farmer's field :? . Then they go over to the local ranch for some naughty parts from a cow to hang from the rear view mirror  .

An this is what passes for intelligent theories over on GLP.
"Mars" is also a chocolate bar found on Earth. These are highly concentrated sources of carbohydrates, which are of vital importance to many carbon based life forms. Mars bars are slightly rippled with a flat underside. They are sometimes used in English courtship rituals in which the female performs various allegorical oral acts with the chocolate bar, which is donated by the male as part payment for this spectacle.
