How come countries with names that include "democratic" and/or "republic" are usually neither?
No trees were killed in the posting of this message.
However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.

Because if you disagree, you go to the local looney bin.

From what I've heard driving around today, there is some debate as to whether it was actually a nuke, or 10,000 tons of tnt.

But how wonderful, a country that can't feed itself can develop nukes.

They have greater need of good PR than countries that really are democratic republics :P

I sometimes refer to the US as "We the People's Republic of Democracy." :lol:

I just realized that should be "Our the People's".
