I did not care about the Dixie Chicks nonsense until tonight when I saw them try to explain themselves on Oprah.

Whew! I wish I could interview them instead of a hand-holding friend they had in Oprah who threw them nice little soft ball questions.

I have lost faith in humankind once again.

I would never accuse anyone of thinking that the U.S. presidency is just a cult of personality. No. Not me. Never. No way. Nah-huh. Nope. I am not saying that. Heck, I am not even hinting that. Not even a little bit. No-sir-ee. Shoot, it would be like me saying that people are mindless drones who follow someone who just makes them feel good about themselves and the world. I would never do such a thing. Not at all. So don't even think of accusing me of doing that.

What I find interesting is that they exercise their right to free speech and get treated to death threats. That's just wrong.
