I was actually expecting a “not proven”, as a way of making a show of “we know he did it, but can’t prove it to you”. Turns out not being able to prove it didn’t really matter.

So the US State Department was adamant it was al-Megrahi, but they now want to try someone else for the crime.

Oh well, al-Megrahi is still dead and still guilty.
