Depends on the spin put on it I guess.
It's for workers earning over $60K, supposedly so they can 'prioritize those earning under $60K'. So what exactly they mean by 'prioritize' becomes the lynchpin, at least for me. I figure more of the 'frontline' workers would be in the under $60K bracket, so if it frees up more raises for them, I'm ok with that. If it's just carry on with status quo for the under 60K, and cuts for the over 60K, then I understand the concern.
Same with lefty journo's complaints. She talks about those earning 'only a shade above minimum wage' and how it's a 'kick in the teeth' for them. Well, it may be a bit presumptuous of me, as I don't have the stat, but I'd dare suggest $60K is more than a shade over minimum wage? Those cleaners, etc. should not be affected.
