R.I.P. Eric Carle

He died on Sunday, age 91, of kidney failure.

He was as much part of my very peaceful adn protected childhood as he is of my own children's. Fly away, Eric, and thanks so much for the miracles.

Didn't know the name, but like umpteen million folk my kids had some of his books.

I had some of his books as a kid, myself. He will be missed.
