"The next time you see sky, it'll be over another town. The next time you take a test, it'll be in some other school. Our parents, they want the best of stuff for us. But right now, they got to do what's right for them. Because it's their time. Their time! Up there! Down here, it's our time. It's our time down here. That's all over the second we ride up Troy's bucket."

Written by Spielberg and Chris Columbus, but directed by Richard Donner (Superman, Superman II, Lethal Weapon series).

Sorry, missed this one earlier: It's from The Goonies.

An excellent film for children and the young at heart.

(a nod to my oldest, who is currently fascinated with this sort of thing)

I was partial to tragedy in my youth. That was before experience taught me that life was tragical enough without my having to write about it.

Oops! Sorry! Forgot to get back on this one. Here's another:

So many women, and all these transformations and disguises he invents in order to seduce them. Sometimes a shower of gold, sometimes a bull or a swan. Why, once he even tried to ravish me disguised as a cuttlefish.

Clash of the Titans!

I've seen it like three or four times. This is another goddess talking to Hera about Zeus.

That's the one! Just ordered a copy for my oldest - he's burned through "The Lightning Thief" series and is currently big time into Greek Mythology. Next year sees both the debut film in that series and - if you're ready for it - a remake of "Clash ..."

I have lost track of whose quote it is, so to keep things rolling along:

"Within your 'purview'? Where do you think you are, some fucking regency costume drama? This is a government department, not some fucking Jane fucking Austen novel! Allow me to pop a jaunty little bonnet on your purview and ram it up your shitter with a lubricated horse cock!"

Oh, I have no clue, either.

The character who says that line is based on a UK spin doctor.

James Gandolfini is in it.

Hmm, possibly not well know across the pond. It is a satire of the US and UK becoming embroiled in a Middle Eastern war. Made in the last 18 months.
