I find it hard to agree with this idea. If you can stop someone (safely) without killing them, I think you should do it.

Well, that's my dad... He's a bit of a character and fiercely independent. That's probably why he retired in Alaska, there's less stock put in protocol and more respect for thinking outside the box.
As far as I know, he hasn't shot anyone...yet ;)

What?!? I only smoke tobacco, but I did grow up when/where pot was legal so I know what it does....sheesh...
