Infuriati (The Enraged Ones)

Postby Bill_Thompson » Mon Jul 24, 2006 9:03 pm

It is kind of nutty to lock discussion threads here.

Wasn't this area created as a repository for vented nonsense?

Raising the standard now will cause the creation of an even wacker trashbin.

Well, in the case of this thread, it was originally locked because the discussion was getting out of hand, then subsequently unlocked. When the discussion again went down the drain, I again locked it. Aside from that one, and one other thread that ran beyond its useful life expectancy, I see no threads of any significance on page 1 of this forum that have been locked.

Define "out of hand", though. I mean, if every thread is shut down because of Bill Thompson's nonsense, one has to wonder at what power he REALLY has...

Food for thought. Or maybe thoughts for food. Dunno.

Although I agree, that thread really did need to be locked because it got personal on a whole different level.

Oh wow. I did not even know you were a moderator. Cool.

Anyway, I do not see why any thread should ever be locked in these sort of places. I have given up thinking that some people have anything of value to read. So I just don't read them. If a subject matter is something fun that I can contribute to, then I contribute to it. If someone that I think is intelligent responds to it, then I read it. Otherwise I just skim over it. Why should I waste my time reading posts from people I have no respect for?

And so it comes as a suprise when a thread is locked. If something gets out of hand and people get hot under the collar, then it is their own fault for letting themselves get angry.

Well, true. I probably just got too used to Bill Thompson's personal attacks to really consider them anything new or shocking.

For something like, gosh I can't believe it's been over 4 months now. But I'm actually a moderatrix. Same powers only instead of a magic wand I got a magic tiara.

Not wanting to put words in her mouth, but from the general tone of her reply, I believe she was aware of his intent and was returning the favor.

What would a moderatrix do with a tiara? Isn't it just a subset of dominatrix?

I thought they used leather and bondage gear.

This must be an inside joke.

Or maybe it is a far outside joke.

I keep telling people, it's only the feminine ending of the word. Basic latin. I don't run around in chains and leather with a whip, honest.

I'd just assumed a moderatrix was like a dominatrix, but less extreme, more... moderate.

Maybe not leather, but vinyl.

Not handcuffs, but Velcro.

A kinder, gentler dominatrix.
