I must say that as a kiwi taxpayer who is generously helping to fund the lining of the pockets of Warner Bros, I am looking forward to getting my free movie tickets to both premiers.

I should explain - the title of this thread came to me in an epiphany. It could be the title for a new movie.
I think I like the idea of 'Gollum's Ring' as a new name for my band (of old has-been musos). It has a dirty ring to it (ha ha)

Well 'Gollum's Ring', as such, debuted (for free - naturally) at the local primary school gala last Saturday at 11:30am NZ time, playing a selection of the finest surf geetar tunes and Shadows covers. (Sorry no pics for the press). Performance dedicated to the 29 miners who perished at Pike River last week.

Does the surf run the other direction in the southern hemi?
Sorry there was no heroic end to the story like the south american recent event.

hiatus over summer - but should be getting back into it in 2 weeks time. We did a spot at a gala in Nov which was well received by old deaf people (and ignored by young coherent people)

Old... deaf... hey wait a minute.
If I come to your show, at this point in my life, there is no point in pushing anything over 10k out the PA. But I can hear the rest of it.
