I really need to get a coffee-proof monitor and keyboard some day...

I'm sure you know this already, but I would point out that muscle is both heavier (for it's size) and far more useful than actual fat. Fat gets in the way, muscle makes up for it's space.

And all that from just one hack squat! Wow.

I might be wrong but I still think that free weights are better, I don't see how you can do certain things on a bowflex, like squats and deadlifts.
I plead the Fifth, but if you want to get pushy I'll plead the Second.

You stand to the side of the Bowflex, and address it with feet slightly spread. Extend the arms, bend over and grasp the Bowflex near either end. Then pick it up. You may now squat with it, or continue the lift over your head.

To us, the BowFlex is just one tool in the toolbox. Just because you buy a new hammer doesn't mean you throw away your screw driver. We use dumbbells too. Neither is better than the other. They are just different.
