Firefox security :-(

Postby tubeswell » Fri Nov 18, 2011 4:27 pm

One of my favourite sites (Music Electronics Forum) has just started being blocked by my Firefox browser as a 'reported attack site'. WTF?

I see in the Firefox preferences it is default set to 'block reported attack sites'.

When I click the 'why was this site blocked?" button I get this page.

http://safebrowsing.clients.google.com/ ... y.php?f=10

So what is really going on here? Is Google now determining what I can and can't do with my web browsing under the implied threat of 'malicious software', or is to trying to protect me and my computer?
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

If you are seeing an apparent paradox, that means you are missing something.

Well, should you decide google and firefox are out of their minds about this site, at least you can just click "ignore this warning". It's a tiny little clickable part in the bottom corner.
