IE for OS X

Postby Мастер » Sun Nov 10, 2013 6:36 pm

I have been receiving a series of emails over the past year from a particular office at my place of employment, which have some security feature requiring them to be read using Internet Explorer only. I think they're probably just rubbish, but I figured I'd have a look just in case they are important.

How to do it? It's IE, I figured I need to do it from a PC, not a Linux or Mac OS X machine, which is what I primarily use these days.

Then I got the brilliant idea, maybe there is IE for Mac. A quick Google, and it looks like there is! Problem solved!

Actually, maybe not. It was discontinued ten years ago! I assume if I got a copy and tried to install it, the results would not be satisfactory . . .

I think I would just reply to the sender and tell them you can't open it and to please send it in a different format.

Well, I could, although this person is pretty high in the hierarchy. I think I would ask his secretary (who probably prepared it anyway).

Tried it years ago - never bothered with it.
A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk, I have a work station.

If you are seeing an apparent paradox, that means you are missing something.
