Planet X ... is real?

For your "out of this world" discussions.

Planet X ... is real?

Evidence is mounting that either a brown dwarf star or a gas giant planet is lurking at the outermost reaches of our solar system, far beyond Pluto.

Why wasn't I told about this before??? Do they know how much shit I am going to have to eat from those GLP types who insisted that thing was there, while I cooly and confidently told them that was impossible, astronomers would see it or deduce it from gravity effects on planetary orbits, etc.

I suppose next God will prove His existance by having tea at the White House.

Shit.

You got anything to say, hippietrekx?

Don't give up the ship yet, it seems like the evidence is still quite unclear. They talk about a two year time frame, if you keep quiet on it, maybe no one will remember if they come up with strong evidence two years from now . . .

I didn't think they'd find one either, but I have thought many of the comments I've seen on this failed to distinguish between "there is no Planet X that is going to turn the earth's axis on its side, change the earth's orbit, etc." vs. "there is no Planet X at all".

BT. A (former) member that has become in icon (emoticon?) in infamy. Would he be pleased, or horrified?

Erm, Lance, is that Llama prancing, or skipping?

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

I guess I should have posted this in the "Astronomy" forum.
