Checking on an Old Friend

Seeing the old Viking one lander, still sitting there after all these years, brought back memories of studying the pictures it sent back. Photo's I clipped out of my dad's U.S. News and World Report. Remember those days before the internet when you had to wait months for a magazine to come out to see the pictures from a space mission? Looks as if it is still nice and shiny. :)

I still wait for them to appear in a magazine. NAt Geo always has a nice picture spread when something planetary happens. Then I can take it to where the serious study goes on - the bathroom.
