Lovely sky

Postby Enzo » Tue Feb 20, 2007 3:09 am

As I strode into the workplace this evening, the clouds cleared enough to reveal a lovely narrow crescent moon maybe 4-5 degrees from a brilliant Venus. I am comforted by Venus in my sky, and if the moon works into the act, so much the better.

On my way out to eat the Moon was high in the sky. Had a few other places to go so that by the time I got home it was low on the horizon and very orange. :D

Himself and I were walking and saw the same gorgeous sight. Venus was so bright!

Didn't notice myself, as I was trying very hard not to slip on the sheets of ice that refroze on the footpath between home and work. But, welcome to our humble IRU, troubleagain!

Thanks, KOS! I've lurked a few times, but just now got around to registering.

Last night, Venus was so far away from the moon that it didn't make have that striking visual impact it had the other night.
